Design Principles
Hierarchy
This assignment serves to demonstrate proficiency in the concept of hierarchy by challenging students to take an existing, poorly-structured document and change it to follow the principles of design. The selected document was the academic check sheet for visual communications majors at OU. Students were also encouraged to include a creative flair, like color.
Layout
Assignment given in the fall of 2021 for a third year graphic design course to rebrand the Joy of Cooking series for a younger audience. As the course focuses on fluency in design principles, heavy emphasis was placed on consistency in typeface, grids, axis and overall layout.
Data Visualization
Deck samples from my final capstone project for advertising, where my main responsibility was deck formatting for weekly check-ins and the final client presentation. As the project spanned the entire advertising process, we were required to visually represent complex data including our primary research, media buying & budget breakdowns.
